It was all go yesterday and it’s all go again today.

We were hoping to have the slideshow screen up yesterday so we could check the projector and distance and make sure everything was working, so as to avoid any last minute panic. But we had to delay that until, hopefully, today. Fingers crossed that there won’t be any hitches. I reckon that once it is up, people will be able to see the screen from Grande Bar down to the Kali Strata bar. They may not be able to see the piano from the distance though, but then I doubt we shall have that many people turning up.
Today is all about last minute bits and pieces, getting things ready for tomorrow while finishing off the wedding portfolio. I’ve put up a few more images on the blog today which have been taken over the last ten years. I think I mentioned before that the images are not of us but are of other people and events and views that we’ve experienced while living here, so it’s not a ‘come and look at our holiday snaps’ type of event, more of a ‘oh yes, I remember that,’ kind of thing.

But that’s tomorrow. Housework day for me today while Neil works at the shop. Jon Ryan is taking this morning’s photo walk which reminds me to mention that there are only another four or five opportunities for a photo walk this season, the shop will be closing for two weeks from around 19th October for the annual break, and then reopening again after the Panormitis festival. But by then, unless there is anyone here at that time who wants to do a walk, the photo walk season will be over.
Today there is a big birthday party taking place for Linda, a regular Symi visitor with her husband Steve. If you've been to Symi at the same time as these two you will know them, Steve plays guitar and wrote the song ‘Symi Wind.’ They are off on the Poseidon this morning with a group of guests for a day on the boat. We were invited but there is so much still to do that it was impossible. But here’s wishing them a great day. And the same to you too, whatever you are doing and wherever you are doing it. Right, must get on, need to sweep and then attack some Mozart.
