We had a strange spell of weather yesterday morning and it looked like it was about to rain at one point. I received a text message asking if I could take daughter’s washing in from the line, which I did. It’s strange having a woman in the house; I keep finding remarkable objects that I've never met before. Hair curlers, hair straighteners (why both?), and my favourite so far: ‘Angel Fish big ‘n’ sexy volumising spray.’ Now where do you suppose that is meant to go. Ah, I just read the back of the bottle – it doesn’t go where I thought it did, Alaska AK, but that’s because I am a man.
Anyway, I’m off to wade through the piles of sparkly shoes in the sitting room, trip over a couple of purses and find a use for ‘Glitter Girl all bounce improvement masque’ or some such.

I once had a request from Pat’s husband, Ali, to bring over some hair gel, something I know nothing about. As the particular brand wasn’t in view at Boots I had to ask an assistant. Some very strange looks before I explained it wasn’t for me!
