Symi April 22nd

Not much news from my part of Symi this morning. Up bright and early today, a cloudless sky, which is a marked difference from yesterday when I watched a thunderstorm rumble around the Turkish coast. It sounded, at one point, as if it was heading our way, but didn’t, but it left some clouds in its wake. No sign of any of them yet today, there’s a slight breeze and the air is cool, but that’s only because the sun isn’t far up yet.

Catching snippets of news items, and looking at some news services on the net, it certainly feels like things are getting back to normal air-travel-wise, though it’s going to be a long while yet before everything is completely ‘normal’ again. Here’s the most recent image from the British Met Office re: the cloud.

As for things closer to home; the garden is still looking like a bit of a battlefield since I started on it the other day. I’ve not gone back to it – other things going on – but maybe I will give it a couple of hours’ attention later. Need to finish the weeding and then tidy it up. I would water it but the sterna is below half its normal level and although the mains feed is turned to ‘on’ there is no water coming through. The problem with the rationing continues while we wait to hear about water boats again…
