Symi, April 19th
With the disruption continuing and Neil’s booked flight getting closer, it’s looking more and more likely that he won’t be flying on Wednesday, but he’s going to phone the airline later and see what the situation is and get advice that way. Scroll down for recent news and handy links concerning the travel situation down here at the moment. An uncertain week for anyone travelling lies ahead…

The main problem for us (and others with businesses on Symi) is that May is usually a good month for visitors, business and so on. So, not being here for part of it and having the shop closed is one thing to avoid, but having fewer visitors is going to be another problem for businesses here; and elsewhere of course. But it’s still a waiting game. And meanwhile I thought you might like to see some photos of Yialos yesterday where it was warm, hot actually, and where the Dodecanese Express pulled in with many people from Rhodes getting off for a visit to Symi. I wasn’t around when other boats may have come in, we were back up in the village for a cribbage match. (Won it!)

So the Eye of the Storm has moved (been moved) back to the Clock Tower side of the harbour. Such a beautiful boat! Presumably it’s still in limbo?
The Eye of the Storm and the Lazy Days are being bought by ANES to replace the Aegli?
You can have Lazy Days, Richard! I’d love a trip in the Eye of the Storm, despite its history.
