The anchor and the statue of ‘Michaelaki’ used to be situated over by the clock tower, now they are at the head of the harbour in front of Café Eva and Pacho’s kafeneion. A permanent move. I’m not sure, to be honest with you, I've not heard, but as their previous sites are now to be used for the large ferries and boats to tie up at, I assume so. They will be safer here – and probably seen by more people.
I was off in Rhodes yesterday, another morning of getting things done followed by a leisurely afternoon wandering the town and sea-front. Back to normal now after a day off. I’m pleased to say that the gallery and exhibition is proving popular, there are many regular visitors back on the island, and several new faces to welcome, no sign of rain at the moment, there are plenty of things to be done around the house and I've been volunteered to play the piano again, Cheap meridia no rx, at the Two A’s bar on Tuesday night.
