Some photos from Symi on Sunday, & Symi Dream Twitter
Finally been persuaded to have a look at Twitter.com and have now set up a Symi Dream Twitter account, thing, page, whatever it’s called. Take a look at www.twitter.com/symidream or search for Symi (Dream), or use the link on the right. I notice there are already http://twitter.com/symivis_info & http://twitter.com/symichat and other Symi Twitters to look at.
Meanwhile, back in the real world… Yesterday started as a day of cats, not the musical, but a garden full of them, and others out and a bout, so here are a few Symi cat pics for you to view. I love those Sundays when you don’t plan anything. We called in to see some friends first, and to drop off some videos as they are without a DVD machine and we have several old films that we don’t watch very often, so we lend them on. Including the 1931 Dracula which I want back at some point – it’s part of my old horror film collection and matches my Hamley’s re-moulding of Bela Lugosi as Dracula in solid plastic form – still looking around for an original Aurora 1970’s kit to go with that one. (Other collectors will know what I am talking about here, everyone else will just assume I’m dotty and speaking in tongues, which is highly probable.)

Then we called on other friends to deliver some DVDs. This is a kind of winter tradition amongst some of us on Symi, the lending of books and films to view during the winter months; like a kind of free library service. And then, on the way home, we met more friends in the square and of course had to stay for a glass of wine and a chat. And finally home for dinner and to watch a DVD of our own. Neil was rapidly coming down with some bug and is still in bed this morning, I hope to avoid it. Unfortunately these bugs, colds etc. are also something that get shared quite liberally around the community. But you have to take the rough with the smooth. Which means no shop today and no trip to Yialos to do the end of season paperwork, which doesn’t need to be done until tomorrow anyway, let’s hope he’s up and running by then.
