Good morning from Symi, ramble, ramble, nonsense etc.
It’s a chilly morning here on Symi; the sun has just come up over the Pedi valley, the sea is grey and shimmering with silver in places, and a dark, Navy cruiser has just slid across my vision far out to sea. I was listening to the sounds of the night last night, as I was out on the terrace for some fresh air, and I heard the ‘sonar owl’ for the first time in ages, the Scops owl, to give it its real name, is back in the neighbourhood. Its cry was heard along side the distant clanking of goats’ bells and the rustle of the stray cats in the land opposite. But strangely there was no sound from the power station. It’s odd how, on some nights, we hear it quite clearly and then on other nights, even if there appears to be no wind, we don’t hear it at all.
Anyway… ramble, ramble… thought you might like this photo of what appears to be bus stops waiting for a bus. Reminds me of ‘Bus Stop Symi’ (must get my copy back!). And there are some other photos too, one showing the progress on the sports complex in Horio, which will eventually look much more in keeping with the rest of the architecture around here.
Nothing much planned for today; need to pop down to Yialos at some point to check the post office and take care of some other things, but there’s no rush. Clarinet lesson went well yesterday, we’re both trying to manage half an hour at least three times a week. I’ve been working on some more music tracks too, actually I think that’s what I will do today, write some music. In fact I will start now. Back with you soon.

Lakis the Bus must have been in a hurry to get home that day.
