Catching up on some news
It’s been a bit of a busy week what with one thing and another. Neil photographed a baptism the other day…
There was a birthday party at the Symi Gallery, and a new exhibition opens there tonight – scroll down for the poster and more details in yesterday’s post. And of course there were various birthday celebrations. We celebrated Neil’s with a drink at the Kali Strata bar and dinner afterwards at the taverna. And yesterday we took a trip to Rhodes for a stock buying tour; new limited edition prints, frames etc.

Work around the clock tower is progressing well and the quayside was busy with people heading off to other islands and arriving from them. We were greeted in Rhodes by the sight and sound of a police car – which is always a bit of a shock after being on Symi for any length of time. The weather had perked up after a couple of cloudy days, but it hasn’t rained here, whereas there had been rain in Rhodes a couple of days ago. But it was warm and sunny yesterday, and looks set to remain so today. A busy morning dashing around and carrying bags of useful thing was rewarded with lunch at the Plaza, the trip back was calm and quick and now it’s back to normal. Or as normal as things ever are around here.

Ps: uploading at 12.34… Rain!
