Following on from yesterday’s themes, Sevasti and Ian contacted me with details of the art classes now being run on Symi:

…the classes are every Saturday.  They start at 3.30 pm for children and 6.00 pm for adults.  Each class lasts 2 hours.  In the initial period I am providing all materials and equipment.  (This will change in the future especially with regards to the adult group who will eventually be wanting to "specialise" in whatever each individual feels is appropriate media for themselves.)

The price depends on the numbers of attendees (currently its 8€ per person per two hour class) and interested people should contact Sevasti on 6945 056409

Symi GreeceAnd from the photos theme of yesterday… well, we didn’t see the seal in the harbour but we did get some snaps on an afternoon walk. At least I snapped, Neil photographed. I’ll put up some of the results over the next few days, there are four today with others coming soon, so that’s something to look forward to… or not. I like the one of the path with the doormat, please wipe your feet before progressing further. After our healthy lunch at the Olive Tree (don’t forget today is lap top workshop morning there), we took the stroll around the base of the Castro and then up and around the top of the acropolis, then back down to the house where Neil sawed up wood for the fire.

Last night didn’t feel as cold as the night before as there was less wind, but we still lit the fire anyway. The Alarm Cat has gotten used to sleeping in front of the electric two-bar so he was a bit miffed when we turned that off. He did try sitting in the fireplace, right up close to the guard, but must have found that too hot. He’s found a new sleeping place now, on a spare chair, which keeps him off the sofa at least.
