A few new additions to Symi Dream

For want of something better to do, like fixing the roof, changing blown light bulbs, tidying up etc., I have added a few more features to the Symi Dream website.

Under ‘Useful things’ in our links on the right, you can now find a simple page about Symi history (the full text with photos is in Carry On Up The Kali Strata). There is another simple page about the Symi wine presses. I’ll get around to adding photos one day I expect, but in the meantime there is text here provided with help from books and local Symi historians.

At the top of the right hand side of the blog you can now find an RSS Feed for Symi Dream – stay connected with updates; there is a new link over to the old Symi Dream site in case you’re new to Symi Dream and want to see photos dating back to 2005, Village Views from the past, the 24 series, and other updates that were made in the early days. And you can click over to YouTube where we’ve started putting our Symi videos that were on our Symi Photos page. There are only a few at the moment as we’re not often out with the video cam, but when we have something to show we will post it there.

While looking at the old photos I thought it would be fun to put up here three from the first gallery, from the old site – Christmas 2005. How things (and people) have changed!

PS. Thanks for the tips and comments/emails about the alarm cat’s problem; it seems to be improving already.

Today’s pleasant email comment:
“I would like to say thank you for all your work keeping us all up to date with the news of Symi.” Jackie

You’re welcome!
